Associate Director, Commercial Insights & Analytics (#1588)

The Opportunity

• Senior leader within Commercial Excellence for a global, launch-stage biopharma company in Japan
• Generate insights that inform commercial decisions and improve business performance
• Oversee Market Research and Data & Analytics capabilities (market research, forecasting, commercial analytics)
• Report to the Head of Commercial Excellence; partner with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Sales Operations, Finance and global teams

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Japan's insights and analytics strategy with global teams, aligned with business objectives and launch strategy
• Integrate market research, competitive and customer analyses and sales forecasts to identify growth opportunities and risks
• Define commercial KPIs and measurement frameworks; build dashboards; deliver performance analysis and recommendations to senior leadership
• Build, manage and develop the Market Research and Data & Analytics teams; oversee external partners and set quality standards and governance
• Establish a launch excellence framework and lead project management for new product launches and indication expansions

• Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, statistics, economics, data science, analytics or a related field
• 10+ years in analytics, commercial strategy, market research, business intelligence or consulting within pharma, biotech or healthcare
• Hands-on experience in forecasting, market research, business analytics, BI, dashboard development or reporting
• Proven track record leading teams, managing cross-functional stakeholders and influencing executive decisions
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Native-level Japanese and business-level English
• Preferred: MBA, MS, MPH, PhD or pharmacist qualification
• Preferred: experience leading an insights and analytics function in specialty pharma or biotech, and supporting launches in Japan
• Preferred: IQVIA, Veeva CRM, Salesforce, SQL or comparable healthcare analytics platforms
