Job description

• Lead Japan implementation of a global Communications & Public Affairs operating model, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy, governance, and execution standards.

• Oversee core communications capabilities including digital/social, media & issues management, analytics, executive/internal communications, brand governance, and operational processes.

• Partner with local business and communications leaders to align resources and support key business priorities, launches, external events, and reputation management initiatives.

• Drive operational excellence, scalable processes, governance, compliance, and agile resource deployment across communications activities.

• Act as the primary liaison between Japan and global teams, ensuring best practice sharing, local market insight integration, and continuous capability improvement.

Requirements

Requirements
• 8–12+ years’ experience in communications, public affairs, corporate affairs, or related functions within complex multinational organizations.

• Strong understanding of the Japan healthcare / biopharmaceutical environment, stakeholder management, commercialization, and reputational risk.

• Proven experience translating global strategy into effective local execution and leading cross-functional initiatives in matrix organizations.

• Executive-level stakeholder management, operational leadership, and change management experience preferred.

• Exposure to global or center-of-excellence operating models, digital communications, analytics, or enterprise communications functions is advantageous.

Wage details

12.5M JPY (mean base) + 22% target incentive. Total 16M JPY (mean total comp)
