Finance Manager - Single Contributor (#1515)

Role Overview

• Position within a global headquarters finance team, supporting company-wide financial planning and management.
• Works closely with senior leadership and global teams, contributing to enterprise-level decision-making.
• Involves both routine reporting work and broader initiatives such as improving financial processes and systems.
• Requires strong collaboration across departments and international teams, with regular use of English.

Key Responsibilities

• Support company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance tracking.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports and analyze financial results to support management decisions.
• Lead process improvement and process-building initiatives to enhance financial discipline and reporting quality.
• Partner with business units and corporate functions to support planning, resource allocation, and strategic decision-making.
• Prepare materials and analysis for senior executive and board-level reporting.
• Provide insights and recommendations to help leadership set targets, optimize costs, and maximize business value.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of FP&A experience in a complex, global organization.
• Knowledge of international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and financial reporting practices.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into recommendations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including working with senior leadership.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to independently drive projects.
• Native-level Japanese and business-level English.
• Advanced Excel and presentation skills.
• Experience using ERP systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing staff or leading teams.
• Background in corporate planning or management reporting functions.
• Experience in financial strategy, disclosures, or financial modeling (e.g., business case development and investment evaluation).
