Job description

Position Overview

  • Global Headquarters FP&A role within a large multinational organization.
  • Responsible for supporting company-wide financial planning, forecasting, and performance management.
  • Works closely with senior leadership and international stakeholders.
  • Role includes both standard FP&A operations and organization-wide process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Reporting

  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across the organization.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting materials.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to management.

Business Partnering

  • Collaborate with multiple business units and corporate functions, including international teams.
  • Support resource allocation decisions and financial planning activities.
  • Provide financial guidance to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Process Improvement

  • Lead initiatives to enhance financial processes and reporting workflows.
  • Support development and implementation of new financial processes and controls.
  • Improve overall financial governance and management quality.

Executive Support & Analysis

  • Prepare presentations and analysis for executive-level stakeholders.
  • Conduct financial and business performance analysis to support decision-making.
  • Assist with evaluation of key initiatives and investments.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of FP&A experience in a global or complex organizational structure.
  • Knowledge of international accounting standards.
  • Experience managing cross-functional initiatives or projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ownership mindset.
  • Native-level Japanese and business-level English required.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and presentation tools.
  • Experience using ERP systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a people management or leadership role.
  • Background in:
    • Corporate planning or performance management
    • Financial strategy development
    • Business case or financial modeling
    • Performance evaluation and reporting
