Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead core FP&A activities including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare management reports and deliver actionable financial insights to support decision making.
  • Analyze financial performance across key statements and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Support monthly and quarterly close processes in partnership with accounting teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align financial plans and timelines.
  • Drive improvements in reporting, processes, and data visualization.
  • Support financial modeling and analysis for business growth initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Approximately 7 to 10 years of experience in FP&A, finance, or accounting roles.
  • Prior experience supporting or supervising team members is preferred.
  • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills are required.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams in a matrix environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Business-level English required; Japanese language skills preferred.
  • Based in Tokyo with occasional travel as required.
