Job description

Concise Summary:

  • Role: Care Provider

  • Location: Tokyo office; occasional work at contracted clinics

  • Purpose: Provide care navigation support to health systems, patients, and consumers using Exact Sciences products

  • Scope: Cross-functional collaboration (Customer Service, Commercial, Medical, Finance, Legal)

  • Core Focus: High-quality customer service, positive patient outcomes, patient-centric support


 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain care navigation workflows aligned with best practices and local regulations

  • Support patients and health systems with navigation guidance and community resources

  • Address inquiries and resolve patient or customer concerns

  • Act as liaison between internal teams, external vendors, clinics, and patients

  • Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies


 

Work Requirements:

  • Regular onsite attendance in Tokyo

  • Occasional travel to clinics; possible overnight/weekend work

  • Heavy computer and phone use (~90% of workday)

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in medical, welfare, or related field

  • 2+ years’ experience in medical/welfare or clinical healthcare settings

  • Knowledge of medical and insurance systems

  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills

  • Fluency in Japanese (native/N1) and working English

  • Authorization to work in Japan


 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Care navigation or patient support experience

  • Oncology or cancer patient experience

  • Background in quality, population health, or community health

  • Clinical or professional certifications (nurse, social worker, psychologist, etc.)
