Position Overview
A confidential healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Commercial Operations Manager to lead operational excellence across Sales and Marketing functions in Japan.
The successful candidate will serve as a strategic business partner to Commercial Leadership, enabling data-driven decisions, optimizing internal processes, and ensuring smooth execution of commercial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Drive sales operations and business analytics to support performance management and target achievement.

Lead CRM system administration and enhancement (e.g., Veeva / Salesforce) to ensure effective customer and field force engagement.

Manage sales incentive programs, including quota setting, payout calculations, and performance tracking.

Support forecasting, budgeting, and planning cycles in close collaboration with Finance and Commercial teams.

Oversee territory alignment, account segmentation, and resource allocation.

Ensure data accuracy, reporting consistency, and compliance with internal governance and healthcare regulations.

Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Medical Affairs to align operational priorities.

Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness across the commercial organization.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in Commercial Operations, Business Planning, or Sales Excellence within the pharmaceutical, medical device, or life sciences sector.

Strong understanding of sales processes, CRM systems, and data-driven decision-making.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and familiar with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Language: Native Japanese, Business English (written and verbal).

Must currently reside in Japan and be legally authorized to work.
