Job Title: Communications Head

Position Overview: Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Communications Head to lead their communications strategy and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmaceutical communications, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing successful communications campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
  2. Manage a team of five communications professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the team's success.
  3. Oversee all internal and external communications, including press releases, media relations, social media, and corporate communications.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, regulatory affairs, and legal, to ensure consistent messaging and alignment across all communications channels.
  5. Monitor industry trends and developments to identify opportunities for strategic communications initiatives.
  6. Manage crisis communications and issues management, including developing and implementing response plans.
  7. Develop and manage communications budgets, ensuring cost-effective strategies and initiatives.
  8. Measure and analyze the effectiveness of communications initiatives, using data to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in communications, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the pharmaceutical industry.
  3. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful communications strategies and initiatives.
  4. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to a variety of audiences.
  6. Ability to think strategically and creatively, with a strong attention to detail.
  7. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  8. Experience managing crisis communications and issues management.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other communications tools.
